Welcome classmates. We have entered all the names of those who went to school with us in Salem. Some may have moved away before graduation, and some have passed away but we are all reunited on this website.

Linda Pennington (Berger)

Linda Laura (Berger) Pennington, 62, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at her home in rural Dix, IL. She was born July 22, 1948, in Centralia, daughter of Charles A. Berger and Susan Eastman, and they preceded her in death. She married Danny Pennington on May 9, 1967, in Salem, IL, and they later divorced. Mrs. Pennington is survived by a son, Charles Pennington and wife Michelle of Walnut Hill; a daughter, Cherie Pennington of Centralia; two step-children, Tina Schulte and Kaeli Schulte, bot of Dix; and five grandchildren, Catarina Platt of Centralia, Preston Pennington, Jayce Pennington and Zackery Hoffman, all of Dix, and Sophia Pennington of Centralia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Berger. Most recently she was employed by DeMoulin Brothers. Services were held at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, December 28, at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with Quinton Runyon officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. |
